The Longest Water Slide in the World Present in Malaysia

The Longest Water Slide in the World Present in Malaysia

There is a new game vehicle in Malaysia, which is a 1,111 meter long water slide that now holds the predicate as the longest water slide in the world.

The snake-like water slide stretches across the ESCAPE playground in Penang.

The length of this game vehicle broke the record previously held by the Action Park playground in Vernon, New Jersey.

Unlike the slides in New Jersey, which are inflatable versions, the water slides at ESCAPE are made of fiber-reinforced polymers and are permanent structures attached to steel poles.

“Solving a world record is actually not our goal,” said Sim Choo Kheng, CEO of ESCAPE operator Sim Leisure Group.

“Actually, I just want to make a water slide with a sliding sensation that can last a few minutes, unlike existing ones and short duration,” he continued.

A four-minute ESCAPE water slide with winding terrain down a 70 meter high slope and through the wilderness.

No need to go up the stairs to get on this ride, because the park manager provides an elevator.

Penang Island, located off the west coast of Malaysia, has so far been known as a cultural and culinary tourist destination. ESCAPE is the first playground here.

George Town, the main city on the island, has a major attraction in the form of a colorful fusion of culture, which includes Hindu and Buddhist temples, street art, mosques, British colonial architecture, and the ornate houses of Chinese nobles.

Penang is also considered one of the world’s major culinary tourist destinations, thanks to the presence of Malay cuisine, China, and delicious Indians that include dishes such as Hokkien mee (fried shrimp noodles) and Penang laksa.

ESCAPE is about 30 minutes from George Town and offers a variety of adventure tourism activities including water slides, ziplines and obstacle courses.
