Aur Island in Mersing is actually a group of 3 islands.

And when you’re here, you can clear your head from all office problems, all university problems.

The distance to get here is 2 hours 30 minutes by boat from Mersing jetty.

And the chalets here are village homestay style.

There is no air conditioner. There is only a fan.

But what you get is a return to the days when everything was simple. Want to bathe, want to snorkel in the blue sea, all two or three feet away from the water’s edge. In short, this is the place for those of you who really want to find peace during your vacation.

What is there on Aur Island?

The reason is that Aur Island is a group of 3 islands – Pulau Dayang with Pulau Lang in the north and Pulau Pinang in the south.

If you want to snorkel by the sea, you can go on a boat to another island.

And if you want to see the panorama of the sea, people usually go up to Letak Semalu on Dayang Island.

How to get to Aur Island, Johor

To get here, you have to take a boat from Mersing jetty. But the boat from this jetty to Pulau Aur is not always available.

Usually, your return boat arrangements have been arranged with the chalet operators on Pulau Aur.

Pulau Aur is the farthest island from mainland Malaysia. The distance is in 70km.

So a lot of patience waiting to see the land when you get on the boat.

Must Know Things

Due to the distance, it is not worth it if the boat comes to pick you up alone. There is usually a minimum pax required for booking. Some will accept you if you come with 4 or more people, some need 10.
Just bring back the memory. Do not bring back corals, seaweed or anything else you find, even on the beach. This area is an area of the Sultan Iskandar Marine Park that is indeed preserved (Marine Park). If you do it, you can be fined RM 5000.

Aur Island History

Although the inhabitants of this island are mostly fishermen, and this island seems to be peaceful, in the past, this place was a place where soldiers were at war.
